This format #2, VG- book, using Harper s lettering system on the copyright page, was printed in July, 1933; it lists to itself while the jacket lists all 9 Tidd titles. The book is square,reasonably clean, and has negligible fading (which in my experience with this shade of green, is rather rare). There is a small ding at the top of the front board and the head and heel of the spine are lightly bumped. The front paste down has a 4" x 5" bookplate (see photo); other than that, the book is free of attachments, writing, and page damage; some of the pages between 55 and 74 have pale brown stains in the margins. The frontis + 3 is intact, hinges are strong, and the paper is very flexible. The VG- jacket is in very decent condition with minor chipping at the front corners and the head and heel of the spine; there is a small fold from the top of the front gutter half way across the front panel.
