Image measures 6 1/2" x 4 3/4" This full-length portrait depicts Italian physician and anatomist Paolo Mascagni (1755-1815), best known for publishing the first complete description of the lymphatic system. He is depicted seated at an examination table with a partially covered corpse. Mascagni is leaning with his left arm on the backrest, holding his right hand. This print is in excellent condition.
