Oblong quarto. (27 X 31 cm.) Printed in blue ink with decorative borders. The certificate was issued for 50 Pounds. Printed on one side only. Not canceled. Company seal impressed on the bottom right hand corner. A couple of old fold lines, otherwise in fine condition. Klondike share certificates are not common things, especially from the early period of the Gold Rush. This example was probably issued in London, one of the financial capitals of the day. A total of 450,000 Pounds worth of shares were issued with this example going to someone in Dublin. This certainly could have been one of the mines that Alex McDonald stacked in 1897/98.
