Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: William Smith (Huntsville, AL) is a registered architect and a certified construction specifier. He is president of Holland Smith Architects, a full-service architecture and interior design firm; prior to starting his firm he was the project director for a large A/E firm. He has served as project architect on more than 60 medical, educational, commercial, residential, and institutional facilities. Laura Holland Smith is a registered and NCIDQ-certified interior designer. Prior to her current position as vice president of Holland Smith Architects, she was design manager for an interior design and furnishings company. Her practice has always involved close involvement with architects, and she is especially knowledgeable in code issues.
