Inhaltsangabe: McKinnon's Way is three stories skillfully woven into one. It is a fast-paced action story about submarine warfare in World War II and CIA Cold War intrigue in Europe. The Cold War action is spiced with murder and revenge.
It is also a love story about two young people whose lives are torn apart by the turmoild of war, both hot and cold. Their lives are plagued with travail and separation that only a true and abiding love can survive.
Finally, and most importantly, McKinnon's Way is a deeply moving account of one man's search for meaning in the chaos of life disrupted by war and the confusion of international intrigue.
The action and romance serve as well drawn vehicles for the principle dilemma facing Bill McKinnon, the story's main character. McKinnon's dilemma is: Does Life have meaning and do we have immortal souls? All evidence from a world at war indicates that the answer s to both questions is, "No." He seeks solace in his love for the beautiful Eurasian girl, Leilani Yo, but they are separated by events beyond their control before their lives together can begin.
McKinnon's Way covers a broad spectrum from picturesque adventure and love to the philosophical. It has a deep message that is deftly carried by two vehicles of the action and love stories so that the reader is easily drawn into the book's central theme. There are parts that will bring you back to read again and again, and to ask the same questions that McKinnon asks.
