Über diesen Titel:

Inhaltsangabe: McKinnon's Way is three stories skillfully woven into one. It is a fast-paced action story about submarine warfare in World War II and CIA Cold War intrigue in Europe. The Cold War action is spiced with murder and revenge.

It is also a love story about two young people whose lives are torn apart by the turmoild of war, both hot and cold. Their lives are plagued with travail and separation that only a true and abiding love can survive.

Finally, and most importantly, McKinnon's Way is a deeply moving account of one man's search for meaning in the chaos of life disrupted by war and the confusion of international intrigue.

The action and romance serve as well drawn vehicles for the principle dilemma facing Bill McKinnon, the story's main character. McKinnon's dilemma is: Does Life have meaning and do we have immortal souls? All evidence from a world at war indicates that the answer s to both questions is, "No." He seeks solace in his love for the beautiful Eurasian girl, Leilani Yo, but they are separated by events beyond their control before their lives together can begin.

McKinnon's Way covers a broad spectrum from picturesque adventure and love to the philosophical. It has a deep message that is deftly carried by two vehicles of the action and love stories so that the reader is easily drawn into the book's central theme. There are parts that will bring you back to read again and again, and to ask the same questions that McKinnon asks.

Über den Autor: Sam Ginder began free-lance writing as a sideline to his 35 year career in the aerospace and defense industry. After his retirement in 1993, he became an author as a second career. Ginder also co-authored an award winning autobiography, Highpockets War Stories, about the remarkable combat record of Col. Peter L. Hilgartner USMC. In addition to his literary work Ginder has written three scripts for special TV features.

Prior to his aerospace and defense industry career, he served in the United States Navy aboard the battleship USS WISCONSIN (BB64), and saw action in the Korean War. He was selected for submarine service, qualified in submarines, and 'rode the boats for 6 years prior to his leaving the Navy for civilian life.

He was graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland and holds advanced degrees from the George Washington University, School of Engineering and Applied Science and the Georgetown University School of Liberal Studies. He studied creative writing at Saint Johns College in Annapolis and Montomery College in Rockville, MD. He taught computer systems graduate courses at the American University.
