Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Dr. Kathleen J. Tate earned a B.A. in Soviet and East European Studies with a minor in Economics and M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of Texas. She holds lifetime Texas teaching licensure in three areas: 1st - 8th grade (Elementary Education); 1st - 8th grade (Theatre Arts); and Pk-12th grades (Special Education). Kathleen earned a Ph.D. in Elementary Education from Florida State University. She has worked as an elementary special education teacher, a professor and university program director/higher education administrator...among other jobs. Kathleen has an extensive children's book collection and likes motivating children to read. When she is not eating guacamole, she enjoys writing children's books.
