Beschreibung
Very dark blue/green half leather boards with highly decorative spine (gold gilt titles and raised bands - see photo). The latter reveal some rubbing; as is the case on the boards' edges, corners and joints. There are also a couple of small white marks on the front board (main photo). Marble decorated edges and endpapers. Internally, the book is mildly tanned throughout with occasional spotting. Please note that there are some notes written in pencil on some pages e.g. on the title page (photo). Likewise, on one of the book's final pages, there is a note in ink, written in a very neat hand - photo. Finally, on the first flyleaf, there are a couple of name cards attached (Sir William Power); as well as a sealed envelope (120 x 100mm) with a red ink note: Young Patriots Oath. It remains sealed. Again, see photo. Finally, it looks as though the page opposite the half-title page has had a couple of b/w photos added; showing the church's north entrance and the tower of the old church. pp. viii, 301 + an Index of Notes. 8vo.
