Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Barbara M. Powell received a PhD from Cornell University in American history. She has taught at numerous colleges and is currently the co-coordinator of the Catoctin Center for Regional Studies. Michael A. Powell received a BA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, an MA from George Washington University, a JD from Syracuse University, and a PhD from the University of Maryland. In addition to serving on the faculty at Frederick Community College, he has written numerous articles on constitutional and legal history, as well as co-editing Mid-Maryland: A Crossroads of History.
