CHAPTER 1
What Is Positive Thinking?
Positive thinking in this book is to teach, to show and guideanyone how to use one's brain and mind more effectively.Positive thinking here entails how to think and imagine, andfor formulating, principles and techniques to get the best outof oneself. It is for identifying and unlocking capabilities andpotential to achieve dreams and goals and for fulfilling theobjective of anyone's desires.
A great deal has been said and written about positivethinking, and about the powers of the brain and mind withoutclearly explaining how they work together with principles andtechniques in a unified way with the whole make up of humanbeing's character, spirit, attitudes, actions and habits to have thekind of life one desires.
The mind is regarded as a separate entity to the brain, butis also a part of the brain and it function within the brain andthroughout the whole body as well as outside of the body, andthat is why when we meditate, we are able to transcend fromwith our mind outside of our body to imagine, to visualize andperceive. At the same time we are able to use the brain and mindto focus, to reflect and to contemplate on what we visualize andperceive. The brain and mind linked us together mentally andspiritually, and both are unique in using the body in variousways for feeling and expression. Each individual uses their brainand mind in distinctive ways. But still, each individual have todevelop their brain and have to practice real positive thinkingand imagining, and for having ones owns view and opinions. Italso demands turning on the brain and mind thinking processon like turning on a light bulb to see in the dark to become moreenlightened about what one is thinking about.
Positive thinking is also to actively thinking creatively toachieve certain goals from one's own abilities. The real aspectof positive thinking does not entail worrying about anything, itinvolves thinking about what you can do and to know what youshould do.
If the brain and mind are not controlled and is disciplinedto think positively to serve the self, they will act unruly andirresponsible like an unruly child that is out of control. In essencemany more people should think more positively and moreeffective to be happier than they are with their life, but they aren'tthinking in those ways, because they do not know how to thinkand imagine positively to make themselves happier from whatthey are thinking and doing.
Positive thinking involves thinking in ways to achieve acertain amount of knowledge, understanding and wisdom whichis paramount in life. It also entails to start thinking positive aboutyou, and do some honest self-reassessment, and to study yourselfto gain insight of yourself to determine who you really are, andwhat you should really think about to know, so that you can getan understanding about certain things which are significant aboutyou. This means you should start looking at yourself extensivelyand differently in every detail.
You might be challenge by yourself to know who you reallyare and to know your capabilities. You will also be challenged infinding and determine the cause for all of your problems, butwhen you learn how to thinking positively you will be able toovercome all challenges. You will also be able do things properlyand effectively.
It is said that knowledge is power but the extent of that true powerlies in when you are able to assimilate, comprehend and understandwhat you've learned and is able to use knowledge effectively.
It is your right and responsibility to learn all of whatevergood and useful things you can learn. It is also your divine rightto nurture and develop yourself and skills to be as effective andefficient as you can to benefit yourself and others.
It should be the right of everyone to seek out the best inlife to live a comfortable life and to try reaching for the stars. Itshould be the right of everyone who want to be happy shouldtry to be happy. This is what positive thinking is all about, butthere are many people who have never tried to establish thoserights for themselves by thinking positively to excel in havinga more comfortable and happier life. Some never tried to reachfor the star because the possibilities of reaching for the starshave never entered those people mind. Many people have neverwittingly tried to do many simply thing to make their lives morecomfortable because they are always thinking in the wrong waysand worrying about nothing of any value.
Every individual life will be how that individual makes it,happy or unhappy, comfortable, successful or unsuccessful. And it starts with thinking in those ways. Therefore, from hereon start thinking consciously and positively to make your lifemore comfortable, more prosperous and happier and your aimsshouldn't to keep thinking and worrying about nothing or tobe miserable and unhappy. Thinking how to become successfulshould be your aim.
Many people don't know who they really are, what they arecapable of achieving, why they are the way they are, how they getinto predicaments, or how to avoid and get out of predicamentsand troubles, or how to become a better person. Whether themajority of people realizes it or not, most people want to bebetter off to be prosperous and happy. Most people would like tolive healthy and have a successful rich rewarding life. Having allof that and more is what positive thinking is all about and it allentails using the brain and mind to achieve whatever one desire.
The other different aspect to positive thinking here meansthinking consciously creatively which is to imagine and comeup with wonderful ideas you can use to create, to construct andproduce things beyond one's wildest dream. It also entails to havea prosperous and successful life.
Fear, superstition and doubt have prevented many peoplefrom thinking positively to do the things they need to do in orderfor them to realize their aspirations, hopes, and dreams. You maybe afraid, you can feel afraid, you can be cautious, but you shouldnot be too afraid or too cautious to think positively. You shouldnot be superstitious and full of doubt about thinking positivelyfor realizing your dreams and goals.
The principles of positive thinking in this book also involvedusing all of your senses carefully and consciously. Consider whatyou see, hear, feel, taste and smell. This also involves a combinationof observation and perception to find one's true calling in beingmore creative and innovative in striving to do the unbelievable toachieve the impossible.
Positive thinking also involves striving to prevent andavoiding bad things...
