Dark-brown, pebbled cloth with gilt titles on spine. In three parts, each with separate title pages. There is an old dampstain along the top edge that affects about half an inch all around. A few interior pages at front and rear are affected slightly. Otherwise, light edge, corner and surface wear but square and securely bound. Some spotting on title page for Part 1. A solid and attractive copy in spite of the dampstain. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; [2],73,[3],137,24 pp. pages; Originally published by Thomas Gilbert in Columbus, Georgia. In 1900, James F. Meegan bought up the remaining unpublished pages, removed the original wraps, added title pages with his own imprint and published this second edition. DeRenne held copies of both editions.
