In good condition, leather is scuffed on boards and spine, raised bands are cracked and gilt work is intact, but faded. Binding cracked, text block yellowed but unmarked. A sturdy copy. Please see photos. Pierre-Joseph de Haitze was a historian born in Cavillon and lived mainly in Aix. He was a local historian, who wrote a history of Aix and many biographies of eminent characters in the Midi. Despite taking positions, he was very influence by tradition.
