Set of two silver gelatin photographs mounted onto grey cardboard backing. One 6 1/2" x 10" photo per side. Photographs are in very good condition with light silvering to edges. Cardboard backing has light wear to edges and is slightly warped. Both photos are in b&w, taken in the late 19th or early 20th centuries, and depict scenes from Cuba. One photograph is of four black children standing outside of a small house. It is possible that when this photograph was taken slavery was still present in Cuba. The second photograph is of El Morro Castle, or El Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro, in Havana, Cuba. It's construction was completed 1774 and the lighthouse was added in 1844. This structure once served as the main defense for the city of Havana and is now a cultural symbol. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 013308
