Original 1846 Fifth Edition. 12mo 7 1/4" tall. xii, 142 pages. 36 lectures. Etching by John Leech as frontispiece. Full leather - contemporary binding with 5 raised bands on spine. Red leather title label on spine. Most of the black leather author label is missing. Tiny red leather "1846" label at bottom of spine chipped at edges. Borders have gilding on front and back boards included on edges and along the perimeter inside. Dentelled. Front board has been expertly reattached. Hinge of rear board is excellent.
