VG+, 2 Vols, 1794 & 1802. In attractive mid 19c half calf over red marbled boards (by Fazakerley of Liverpool), some gilt tooling, corners rubbed. Spines, rubbed, raised bands, gilt titles. Internally, Vol 1 - Welsh Bards, 1794, frontis, engraved dedication,[2], [1], (ii-viii), 183 pp, 3 pls, printed slip showing the change of publishers address to tp, ink name to frontis verso. Vol 2 - Bardic Museum, 1802, frontis, [3], (iv-xvi), [1], 2=-60 pp, [1], (xviii-xx), 61-112 pp, 1 pl (hand coloured), 1 illustration within text, title with contemp. ink note correcting the publishers address, some offsetting & occasional spotting. Both volumes, t.e.g., remainder yellowed, red marbled endpapers, binders stamp to verso fep, armorial bookplates to fpd & feps (Edward Samuelson & Mexborough). An attractive set.
