The GM prepares all the details of an adventure, and then "runs" the players through that adventure. This usually requires a great deal of preparation on the part of the GM and the handling of many details. Mythic is different in that it requires no preparation from the GM. Mythic adventures are meant to be played off the cuff, with perhaps a few minutes of brainstorming to come up with the initial setup. Mythic can also be played entirely without a GM. The same mechanics in Mythic that allow a GM to run an adventure without preparation also allows a group of players to do without the GM.…

Create dynamic role-playing adventures without preparation
For use as a stand-alone game or as a supplement for other systems
This is a 2022 revised edition of the original Mythic Role Playing. The author name has been updated as well as some of the artwork. All rules remain the same.
Mythic Role Playing brought true, solo play to the world of tabletop role-playing in 2003, kicking off a solo revolution that continues today. Mythic Role Playing contains the ground-breaking GM emulation rules, giving you everything you need to play any RPG system without a Game Master, as well as a complete system for creating your own improvised RPG as you play.
Mythic adventures develop as you play with minimal preparation required. With a Yes/No oracle system, Mythic guides you through your adventure as you test your expectations. A Random Event mechanic throws narrative curve balls at you, and the Chaos Factor keeps tilting the story throughout your adventure to change the pace.
The Mythic system is supported through additional rulebooks that add more options to your solo play, as well as Mythic Magazine bringing fresh ideas and rules monthly. Mythic has a fanbase spanning two decades, creating a wide and diverse community you can draw ideas and inspiration from.
Welcome to solo role-playing. Happy adventuring!

Please be sure to review the Grading System, Shipping Information, and other notes
below before purchasing for a smooth transaction!
All pictures are stock (not actual) photos. Our grading system is listed below
for your review on the exact condition of the item you will be receiving.
OUR GRADING
*SW Shrink Wrapped. Still in the original factory shrink wrap, with condition
visible through shrink noted. For example, 'SW (NM)' means shrink wrapped in
near-mint condition.
*Mint Perfect. Brand new.
*NM Near Mint. Like new with only the slightest wear, many times
indistinguishable from a Mint item. Close to perfect, very collectible. Board
games in this condition may be played but show little to no wear.
*EXExcellent. Lightly used, but almost like new. May show very small spine
creases or slight corner wear. Absolutely no tears and no marks, a collectible
condition.
*VG VG Very Good. Used. May have medium sized creases, scuff marks, very small
stain, etc. Complete and very useable.
*Fair Very well used, but complete and useable. May have flaws such as tears,
pen marks or highlighting, large creases, stains, marks, a loose map, etc.
*PoorExtremely well used and has major flaws, which may be too numerous to
mention. Item is complete unless noted.
*More Notes Some items are listed as 'code/code.' The first code represents the box or book cover condition,
the second code describes the contents. When only one condition is listed, then the box or cover and contents are in the same condition. I
*A '+' (plus) sign indicates that an item is close to the next highest condition. Example, EX+ is an item between Excellent and Near Mint condition. A
'-' (minus) sign indicates the opposite.
*Defects noted Major defects and/or missing components are noted separately.
*Dice In most cases, preowned boxed games and box sets do not come with dice.
