Frontispiece engraving has a small hole in it from what appears to be the burn from dropped ash. Brown calf, spine replaced with cloth long ago. Very good. A popular edition, apparently quite scarce, of this important shipwreck narrative. As a midshipman, Byron sailed in the squadron under George Anson on his voyage around the world.
