Novels and Tales by the Earl of Beaconsfield with portrait and sketch of his life, fine 11 volume set bound in full tree calf with gilt borders to both boards, gilt dentelle, banded and gilt-decorated spines with gilt lettering on red and green panels, slight crack to front hinge of volume I, each title page is illustrated with an engraved vignette depicting various views of Hughenden Manor and High Wycombe, printed by Ballantyne, Hanson and Co, Edinburgh and London, marbled edges and endpapers, light spotting to edges visible when fanned, occasionally this has seeped into the top margin of the pages, otherwise clean and crisp internally, NB the prelims and pp1-2 of X have more foxing. A very handsome set.
