Buchbeschreibung London: Bell and Daldy, 1860., 1860. xvi, 288 pages. Hardcover: H 16.75cm x L 10.75cm. Full dark brown leather binding, slender shelf abrasion to bottom board edges; light surface scuffing to boards mostly near edges; spine decorated with five slightly raised bands delineating six compartments with second from head having gilt stamped title lettering; gilt tooling along dentelle edges. All edges gilt as well as gauffered. Brown silk ribbon page marker sewn-in. Light yellow endpapers; obtrusive peeling to front pastedown unfortunately exposing some underlying cardstock in effort to remove past owner's bookplate of which a large part still remains but with name gone and crest vignette only partially evident; staining to rear endpapers probably caused by the adhesive utilized for the pastedown by the binder. Some scattered foxing to interior pages with a few spots of soiling and toning. Binding is firm. Still a handsome book. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers D17-8313
