A smart copy of this collection of novels from English writer Thomas Love Peacock, published here in one volume. The seven novels of Thomas Love Peacock, including: Headlong Hall, Melincourt, Nightmare Abbey, Maid Marian, The Misfortunes of Elphin, Crochet Castle, and Gryll Grange. Written in his satirical style with the same basic setting of a group of characters sitting at a table to discuss and criticize the philosophical opinions of the day. Written by Thomas Love Peacock, an English novelist, poet, and official for the East India Company. A close friend of Percy Bysshe Shelley, they often influenced each others works. Edited by David Garnett, an English writer and publisher. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor shelf wear and a small light mark to the front board. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription to the front pastedown. Very Good Indeed. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 892T65
