The western half of the Oregon Trail followed the Snake and Columbia Rivers to the fertile valleys of Oregon and came to the official end of the trail at Fort Vancouver, Washington. The eastern half of the Oregon Trail to the South Pass is Described herein from Actual automibile trips made over the trail by Dr. Long. In time many cutoffs and alternate routes were developed, all described in detail. 278 pages with directions, all made before the Interstate system, plus two foldout maps and index, and 32 pages of photographs in the rear.
