Inhaltsangabe: Following the OWL?s Footsteps is a guidebook to the sites photographed by the late O. Winston Link along the Norfolk & Western Railroad in Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland.
Über den Autor: The author of ?Following the OWL?s Footsteps? grew up at the tail end of the age of steam railroading, and has had a life-long armchair-interest in railroads and steam engines. In the year 2000 the author saw and purchased a copy of ?Steam, Steel and Stars? in a local bookstore. Shortly thereafter, a copy of ?The Last Steam Railroad in America? was added to his library, and a deep appreciation for Link?s work began. The purchase of a new DSLR camera in 2006, and a chance idea led to a 6 year-long project to catalog, identify and locate the sites photographed by Mr. Link. The result of that project is this book. The author is a native of the Washington D.C. area, and has spent over 25 years working as a business analyst for government contractors. The author has also written "The Who is Johnny Dollar Matter", a 3-volume program guide to the old-time radio program ?Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar?, which ran on CBS from 1949 to 1962.
