Xii pp + 360 pages with 4 pages of other publications, woodcut illustrations throughout, coral reef illustrated grey cloth boards, small repair to head of the spine, charcoal endpapers, the name "J Stewart" to endpaper and a little foxing here contents very clean, octavo. 1860. *Preface to the first edition is 1845 and then there is a smaller preface to accompany this edition of 1860, this might be the 2nd edition, however as there is such a gap between the 1845 1st and this I have said 3rd edition, someone has said 2nd on the endpaper in pencil.
