Ex-library with cataloging labels on spines, stamps, bookplates and envelopes on endpapers, and stamps on edges and title pages. Other than some markings on endpapers, the pages are clean and text unmarked. Wear and splitting to leather spines and board corners. Henri-Raymond Casgrain (1831-1904) was a Canadian Roman-Catholic theologian, historian, an author of numerous works, most of which are collected here in this 4-volume edition of his works published several years before his death. This collection includes his biographies: Antoine-Sébastien Falardeau (1862), Auguste-Eugène Aubry (1865), François-Xavier Garneau (1866), Georges-Barthélemi Faribault (1867), La Famille de Sales Laterriere, Philippe-Joseph Aubert de Gaspé (1871), Francis Parkman (1872), Octave Crémazie, and Antoine Gérin-Lajoie, d'apres ses Memoires; his histories: Histoire de la mère Marie de l Incarnation (1864), Histoire de l Hôtel-Dieu de Québec (1878); the collection: Légendes canadiennes (1861).
