Beschreibung

This small book has leather spine and corners, marbled paper over boards. Embossed title label on spine has very small cracking and a curl bottom edge near back cover. Leather is quite worn and rubbed in spots, showing lighter color underneath. Head and foot of spine are worn and rubbed as well as edges. Corners are worn ans showing board. Paper of edges mostly gone with baord showing. Hinges and gutters are solid with no shadowing. Text has early foxing and spotting. The very first signature has loosened and will need to be handled with care, otherwise binding is solid. Small earsures of pencil on front cover paste-down. Engraved illustration Frontis and center of title page. Dedication Page, Introduction {owner's name inked neatly upper edge} vii-lxxxvi, Secondary Title Page {light spotting}, Main text 1-153 with two illustration plates - engraved.
