A detailed and copiously history of Old English Doorways, from the end of the fifteenth century to the eighteenth century. This work contains extensive descriptive and historical notes, with thirty four drawings and sketches by the renowned British architect Henry Tanner. The work also contains seventy plates reproduced in collotype from photographs specially taken by W. Galsworthy Davie. In a red cloth binding with gilt lettering to the spine and front board. Externally, generally smart, lightly rubbed in places. There is some fading to the extremities. Internally, binding is loosening in places. Frontispiece is loose, as are several other pages.
