This work focuses on British architecture, in particular the entryways of English residences.Written by Sir Henry Tanner (1849-1935), a British architect who also wrote works such as 'English Interior Woodwork; and 'Some Architectural Works of Inigo Jones'.Complete with seventy full plate photographs, as well as a number of vignette illustrations. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally very smart, spine is a little cocked and faded, with some bumping to the head and tail. Ownership inscription in pencil to the front pastedown. Internally generally firmly bound, bar the frontispiece and plates 17-41 and 69, which are loose but present.
