Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Anne Bernard Becker (b.1952) wrote Ollie Ollie In Come Free after rediscovering the rich inner world of her childhood during eight years in psychoanalysis. Always fascinated by children's complex experiences, she learned how delayed grief had impacted her development into adulthood. Throughout many years in a women's writing community, she created her memoir. Anne's mothering years were shaped by a stillbirth and other pregnancy losses, along with the rearing of two biological children and one adopted child. These experience have colored many of her writings. Since 1978 she and her husband Gerry have made their home in Cincinnati, where Anne works as a learning specialist. Anne grew up in South Bend, Indiana, and studied at Indiana University (B.A.), the University of Pennsylvania, (M.A. in French) and Fordham University (M.A. in Religious Education). She has participated in the New Jerusalem alternative Catholic community for thirty-three years, and has a passion for environmental and justice issues as well as mental health concerns. Anne continues to write regular reflections about the spiritual, psychological and political underpinnings of daily life.
