This is a rare, 1892 Park Theatre Program for a play titled "A Temperance Town". The play was managed by Hoyt's Madison Square Theatre Company in Boston Massachusetts. Presented in a horizontal format, this 12 page program features a brief synopsis of the play and its scenes, as well as a list of the players. As with all such theater memorabilia, there is a profusion of local advertising. The pagination includes the exterior covers. On the front is a charming line drawing of the foyer of the theatre. A man and woman are purchasing tickets; chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and doors leading to seats can be seen in the background. the picture is bordered by an ornate edging with a "floral" motif. ********************************************* Park Theatre Program / Boston Massachusetts / Monday, December 6, 1892 / For a Performance of "A Temperance Town" / Presented by Arthur Voegtlin. / Hoyt's Madison Square Theatre Company / Chas.
