Dated Vienna, April 1960 to the opening statement, this predates independence (1961), and the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kuwait and Austria (1965). It is part of a series of country monographs started in 1958 to promote Austrian exports, and inform Austrian business people abroad. Edited by Karl Gabrisch, contents include geography (population, ports, language, electricity, transport, rail, post, history, constitution etc); economy (petroleum, oil companies, natural gas, agriculture and food, industry and trade, state planning, standard of living); foreign trade (including Austrian exports and prospects, challenges, and Austrian imports); initiating business; insurance; business practices; advice; advertising; doing business; legal questions; business travel (expenses, recommended hotels and restaurants, sights, local customs to be observed etc).
