New York: Privately Printed, 1928. First Limited Edition, Copy No. 26 of 645 numbered copies. A small octavo in silver cloth spine over lavender boards with a near-fine slipcase. The boards are barely faded at extremities, else a fine copy in lightly-worn publisher's slipcase. An extremely interesting historical and descriptive account of Girdles of Virginity and their use among the Greeks, Romans and other nations. Translated from the French.
