[22] pp. letterpress + 66 pp. plates with captions opposite except when double + [2] pp. Bound in original green cloth, gilt with bevelled boards, in pictorial dust wrapper which has spine edge chips and missing section at top of front edge. Top edges green. Extremities a little worn but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 33 pages of black and white photographic plates, including 3 double, by wood engraved vignette headpieces and by coloured map endpapers. An illustrated industrial history of the paper mill at New Hythe on the Medway, then part of the Reed Paper Group and now Aylesford Newsprint. When he compiled it, H. E.
