A compact, used, hardback, cloth bound, titles on both the spine and front board. no dust jacket. This lovely wee book is in relatively good condition, considering its age. Normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. Small wear to edge of the boards and to the top and bottom of the spine. Tiny spotting to first inside and back pages, the tissue paper to title page is torn away. 196 + pages all intact, nice gilt edging to all pages. Inscription to a loved one in pen and ink dated 1898, on the top part of the back of the title page. Preface by the author. All pages, text and illustrations are in really good, clean, readable order.
