First edition. 8vo. [2], viii, [1], 10-66pp. In modern paper wraps with label on front cover. Title page with scattered spots of foxing, crease at lower forecorner. Else clean and bright. Very good. A work by an anonymous Italian Catholic author and churchman from Padova, who escaped to England in 1739 and was apparently dead by the time of this publication. The original manuscript was written in Latin, here translated by anonymous person, it described the shortcomings of the Catholic church by a former Abbot, Arch-Priest and Vicar General to the Archbishop of Padova, who had come to his senses and embraced the Protestant faith.
