Very Scarce printing of this 19th century how-to book. Includes plates to copy for making paper dolls and outfits; all 8 plates are present. Stiff cloth covers are worn and faded with some stains; gilt and tooling are still clear. Binding is fragile and coming apart; many pages are detached from sewn binding, but book is complete and has been kept together. Inside pages are tanned and have some marks in pencil and pen and colors, from past owners, as well as the occasional tear in the margin and gutters; a bit of pencil on ffep; a couple creases. 22 pp + 8 plates. 5.25 x 6.75 inches.
