A very scarce report of a meeting held in 1809 concerning parliamentary reform, chaired by Sir Francis Burdett. A very scarce work, unbound, but sewing is intact. Sir Francis Burdett (1770-1844) was a British MP. His principal efforts were directed towards procuring a reform of Parliament. He anticipated the Chartist movement by suggesting universal male suffrage, equal electoral districts, vote by ballot, and annual parliaments. However, his motions were met with very little support. This very scarce volume gives a report of a meeting regarding parliamentary reform, chaired by Burdett in 1809. Unbound but with sewing intact. Externally sound, though a little spotted and age toned. Pages 3 to 6 are coming loose, but the rest are firmly bound. Pages are clean with the odd spot. Very Good.
