516 pages.Red faux leather binding with black stamping on spine and front board. Bright, clean, tight, and square text block, no marks of any kind. Color frontispiece illustration of page 68. Front and back endpapers show blue and white line drawings of Native Americans. Corners sharp. Top edge stained blue as issued. Unclipped DJ in clear archival protector. DJ shows very slight wear to top and bottom edges. From the DJ: 'The 'Pathfinder' takes the reader breathlessly through that war of savage horrors and reeking blood, when no white man's scalp was safe and no spot in all the great wilderness offered security for the hunter, the trapper or the settler.'
