Internally a wide margined copy with some light foxing affecting some pages mostly at margins waterstaining affecting to four leaves at lower left margin and in the Colophon touching the last lines of text (picture included).Some old marginal ink notes and some pages with underlined text with pencil. A nice and attractive copy without internal restorations of this classical text. Pausania´s book was compiled from his travels in mainland Greece in the second century A.D.He was a traveller and sort of antiquarian(he discovered the Plato´s tomb in the Academia at Athens).His descriptions led to the discovery of Delphi and Olympia archeological sites.he was the first to study the Dead Sea.
