No Edition Remarks. 356 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering. Volume I. Hinges are moderately cracked with exposed netting. Clean pages with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. More pronounced to half title page, free endpaper and pastedowns. Pencil markings to front pastedown. Front free endpaper is missing. Pages 311-314 and 355-356 detached but still present. Ink stamp markings to some pages. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Book has a forward lean. Moderate splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed.
