Buckram publisher's binding in good condition with gilt border and shield to front board as well as gilt top edge and lettering to spine. Slight bumping to corners and spine. Several dirty markings to binding which are most concentrated along the bottom edges. Small sheet of note paper taped to front flyleaf signed by editor, Israel Gollancz, dedicated to Professor Atkins. Book plate of Simon Harkin on front paste-down with his presentation inscription above to Dr Wynn. Frontispiece by W. Holman Hunt opposite title page. Moderate browning to front and back end papers.
