A complete, 2-volume Everyman's Library set of William Makepeace Thackeray's semi-autobiographical novel, published in installments from 1848 to 1850, just after his "Vanity Fair." The story follows the progression of young Arthur Pendennis, known to friends as 'Pen.' Many of the characters in this work also appear in other Thackeray novels, such as "The Newcomes" and "The Adventures of Philip." With an introduction by Walter Jerrold.
