Local news and goings on, many individuals named , some small ads. Good condition. Price was 1 cent/week. Interesting and amusing reading, for example: ?Indians drink a great deal and boys go around hunting for whisky flasks which they sell for two for 5 cts. ?Chas Foreman, William Lowell and Francess Jackson dug a hole big enough for 3 boys to get in under Jackson's house. ?There was a man in town a week ago last Thursday selling sorgam which was raised in Yackamaw [Yakima] Washington. It is very good on hot cakes and also for making candy. ?There was quite a bad accident last Saturday. A man was run over out in the country and they had to bring him in to town in a wagon. They took him to the old Golden Rule Hotel where he was examined by Doctor Smith. The Doctor said that he was hurt pretty badly but no bons [bones] were broken. ?We have decided not to get out a daily because it will be too much trouble to get out a daily and weekly both. ?Little Norbertt Bollermah was burried [buried] today at 9 o'clock.
