Inhaltsangabe
This proceedings provides essential findings about the performance confirmation of constructed geotechnical facilities. Geotechnical engineers can access both the short-term and long-term performance feedback necessary to validate design approaches, reinterpret property assessment, and improve the design process. These 37 papers were presented at the sessions of the ASCE Geo-Institute Specialty Conference on Performance Confirmation of Constructed Geotechnical Facilities held at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, April 9-12, 2000. The topics include: performance and evaluation of shallow and deep foundations; performance and evaluation of fills, embankments, and slopes; statistical analyses; performance and evaluation of roadways and railways; grouting in geotechnical engineering; performance and evaluation of tunnels, excavations, and retaining structures.
