4to, single sheet folded into a four pager [folded size 8 1/2 x 11"]. Illustrated with two full page pictorial color plates (likely pochoir). a remarkable visual document from the Ford Motor Company's "Her Personal Car" campaign, aimed at appealing to new freedoms afforded to upper class women in the early 20th century. This pamphlet specifically marketed the Sport Roadster. "Freedom from fatigue and abundant energy to enjoy leisure pursuits are among the benefits of Ford ownership." The prints are unattributed but remarkable - the details of cars, interiors, and furnishings are carefully detailed, but the faces of the women in the engravings are oddly blank, as if designed to allow the target audience to project themselves onto the them. Ironically, on the cover the image the only face with real expression or detail is that of the maid. OCLC locates no holdings - a related record shows a similar pamphlet illustrated from photographs rather than pochoir.
