Beschreibung
A college scout was one who took care of the housekeeping needs of a student; oftentimes, their tasks exceeded the basics and they were viewed as screeners, intermediaries for a variety of troubles that a young man could get into. Hewlitt writes of the escapades of a scout in keeping his students on the straight and narrow. Edited by his good friend, Theodore Hook, this is a classic British tale of wiser heads attempting to contain mad youth .
