I was at my parent's home in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I am here for my brother's wedding. I wanted some sunrays before the Wedding I do not get much of a chance with work and all the cases that needed attention.
I feel someone telling to wake up and smell the roses and when I opened my eyes, I could not believe Alex was standing right in front of me and all I could do is stare at him. I was in a daze or am I dreaming I shook my head and ask is that really you Alex?
"He reached out and pulled me into himself and said what happened to my pretty one she went out and got herself all beautiful."
Why would someone not tell me you were going to be coming?
Then he did something I never would expect from Alex, he pulled me right up to himself and kissed me good and proper.
I thought where this come from Alex never let me know how he felt about me! Why now after all these years he never kept in touch with me, or even acted as if he cared about me.
Alex what are you doing after all this time you could not bother to write or even acknowledge me you acted as if I did not exist. I cried my eyes out over you and you just walked away.
Then the dam broke after all these years of hiding my feelings on top of that Richard dying as he did it just overflowed I could not stop crying. Alex was holding me, and he was trying to soothe me, kissing me, and holding me close to him.
"I have been in love with you all our life! Why do you think I hung out with your brother all the time? I did not need to study all that much. I did not need the money I tried to show you how much I loved you, but you just brushed me off as if I was your older brother.
"Alex I can't believe you loved me, I felt like no one cared about me one way or another. I was a middle child who only got in the way. I was always in the way of my siblings and it seemed my parents did not have time for me.
Lizzie shut up and come here and stop, wasting time arguing and kiss me please. I think we wasted enough time what do you think my little beauty?
"Alex I am so sorry you were always there for me and I mistook it for brotherly love.
Then we were wrapped up in each other's arms, I was so happy the tears flowed slowly down my cheeks.
I could not stop kissing Alex and I could not stop the tears. What are we going to do now? My work is in New York, and I do not know where your work is?
"Well sweetheart first of all I want you to do one more important thing.
What is that Alex? First, I want to know if you will marry me.
Alex was down on one knee looking up at me with them big blue eyes, I could swim in and get lost forever. I said yes my darling I will marry you then he slipped the large engagement ring on my finger.
Alex kissed me like there was no tomorrow.
Alex why did you have that ring with you, he said I did not want to take a chance on losing you again, if you said yes I wanted to be ready. I am not letting you out of my sight again. I wondered if I had a chance with you after your brother told me you were a lawyer. Then when he said you would be coming home for the wedding, I ask if you were free? I am going to do everything I can to make her mine. I ask your brother if you were bringing any one home with you. This is when he told me all about Richard, and what had taken place I hope you do not mind.
"I am sorry sweetheart I knew that had to come as a blow to you.
Alex we were friends, not like that, we were just on the same team working to gather. Richard did all the leg - work, I did the paper work. When I found out how jealous his girlfriend was I did not want to work with him at all. I should have been more sympathetic. I could have helped him to get away from someone that needed mental help.
All I know is I let him down, and now he is dead. Shot by a crazy woman who then killed herself. I did not even try to listen to him or offer to help him in anyway. That is pretty sad on my part.
Lizzie how could you know what he was feeling or thinking at the time.
"Maybe he was trying to reach out to her when he knew she needed help.
We cannot go threw life guessing about ourselves all the time. Come on baby take care of your daddy he needs you more than words can say. I love you Lizzie, I need you we have wasted so much time already, Lets make it a double wedding!
"Alex what would Steve and his soon to be wife think about that? I talked it over with them, and they would love that, Steve always knew how I felt about you. "Well you just wait until I see him he could have told me how you felt. I was thinking you would marry someday and I would have to come to your wedding with someone else. I could not bear to see you with someone else, that is why I wanted to be so far from home. I did not want to hear anything about you or your woman friends.
"There was no one that could hold a flicker of a candle to you. I have always loved you and probably always will you are my one and only, my true soul mate.
"Alex, how are we ever going to explain, this to our parents about the wedding.
My head is in a whirl everything was just going so fast. The wedding plans, the dress, the bridal shower. The men wanted to have a bachelor party.
Alex we will not see each other again until after the wedding.
"Who ever made up that cock a mammy rule up? I will not go along with that kind of rule no way I want to be with my girl. Come here Lizzie we are getting out of here!
We left, and got into Alex car, we went to his apartment, and we sat and talked.
Alex said if you only knew how very much I love you.
"I have waited for you seem like all my life, honey please do not be mad at me for wanting to be with you.
"Alex I can not be mad at you I feel the same way.
Alex took me in his arms, and kissed me and ran his tongue around my lips then in my mouth. I felt tingles running up and down my spine. I never knew you could feel this way from a kiss. I was so busy going to college, so I could become a lawyer.
I was working my fanny off, with a job of modeling, so I could support myself.
I did not have a wealthy family; I had to earn my money by modeling. I was so tired from all the running around I had to do. My feet hurt all the time from wearing shoes, those high heels they made you wear to give you height. The only good thing about it was you get to keep all the clothes that I modeled.
I got my mind back to Alex, he was whispering sweet nothings in my ear and suckling on my breast, he was driving me crazy. Alex what are you doing to me?
"I am trying to make love to my fiancée is that alright with you my darling?
Wait Alex I have to tell you something please do not be mad at me.
"What is it sweetheart you can tell me anything?
I have never been with any one before; I have never even been, kissed before you. I had to put my self threw school, so I never had time for nothing else like men I am so sorry honey.
"Sweetheart I am not playing a game I love you, I want you any shape or form, I can have you. Please do not be offended by my need for you it has been so long. Honey I can wait for our wedding if this is what you want? I just love you with all my heart and it is not easy for a man to wait when he is with someone he loves.
Alex we have a lot to discuss before we go any farther. I have my career, and you have yours so what are we going to do...
