Philippe is the second volume of the Guy Sinclair Detective Series. Guy has his hands full with a new player on the Silver Springs crime scene, but this time the cases he tries to resolve will come a lot closer to hitting home. With Guy’s resources pushed to the max it takes a bright, young police officer and an imbecile-turned-genius to bring the miscreants to bay. As tough as things on the job might be Guy has every reason to be satisfied with his private life, but even that happy situation suffers as the new menace in town makes his presence ever more intrusive. Angelina and Chris try to move ahead with their lives, but merely staying alive soon becomes more important. Kurt will undergo a life-changing event, but it’s one that might turn out to be bad or good depending upon how the killers view his new condition. At the end, the fellow with eyes the color of coal and a disposition to match threatens to ruin everything Guy has worked so hard to achieve.
