Oblong small quarto. Measuring 10" x 7". String-tied suede album with painted flowers and "Photographs" written on the front board. Contains 85 sepia-toned or black and white gelatin silver photographs measuring between 2" x 3" and 3.5" x 5", with captions. Near fine album with some edgewear with near fine photographs. An album documenting a Southern California family around 1915. The images show them swimming, fishing, and visiting the Long Beach bath house. One of these photos shows a couple in the Pacific Ocean with a caption that reads, "a December bath." Another section shows the family at the Rose Parade with images of passing floats and onlookers. The album includes images of waves crashing against the shore, vacationers on the boardwalk, and a man feeding seagulls on the beach. There are also images of the "1st passenger vessel to pass thru Panama Canal." Friends from South Dakota visit and they have a reunion in Long Beach, featured here. Towards the end of the album the photos are from Universal Studios including several shots behinds the scene of a silent film be made. The final pages show outdoor landscape scenes of Mt.
