14 threehole punched album leaves measuring 11" x 8½" housed in a three ring binder measuring 11¼" x 10¼". A total of 106 photos are either inserted into corner mounts or mounted via one edge; photos measure either 3¼" x 4¼" or 3½" x 3½". Binder very good plus with minimal wear; contents near fine or better. This is an extraordinary album compiled by a gay couple in Southern California revealing their home and interests. Each photograph is accompanied by an affectionate or humorous caption with one having an inscription on the verso, "Dear Dick, the way I feel about you all or nothing at all." All the photos are well-composed and several show each man, respectively, posing with their dogs with one captioned as "The Queen and attendant." Others show them posing around their home, reading, and one shows one of the men in a bathtub. Of note are the 25 amorous semi-nude portraits in a soft light, some with props, and others teasing the camera with acrobatic positions. Remarkable documentation of a gay couple in 1950s California.
