Quarto measuring 10" x 11.5". Spiral bound yellow leatherette boards. Contains 47 sepia-toned or black and white gelatin silver photographs measuring between 4" x 5" and 8" x 10" with some captions on the verso. Very good album with near fine photographs. A photo album following the career of acrobatic troupe, Jacquie and Bino Duanes in the late 1940s. The Duanes were a vaudeville acrobatic group with a signature performance entitled "A Rhapsody in Motion." The images range from large publicity stills, one of which is signed by the couple, to action shots of the couple performing. Bino is seen whipping Jacquie around and hoisting her above him while she gracefully poses. Later snapshots show the couple with two children, possibly their own, also featured as part of the act. The children and Bino are seen in a newspaper clipping advertising their show which reads, "the three Duanes present the greatest acrobatics and adagio seen in any repertoire of hand-to-hand balance." Colleague sheets towards the end of the album show the Duanes performing with trapeze equipment. The final pages include mechanically reproduced newspaper articles advertising Jacquie and Bino's act.
