Twelve pages of publisher's adverts to the rear of Volumes I and II."Martin Chuzzlewit" is about the eponymous Martin, who goes against his grandfather"s wishes and falls in love with an orphaned girl, intending to marry her. As a result, Martin is disinherited.'The Pickwick Papers', undated, dated 1920 from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library. Illustrated with a frontispiece to each volume. Four pages of publisher's adverts to the rear of Volume I, and six pages of publisher's adverts to the rear of Volume II.The novel is a sequence of loosely connected adventures and characters, occurring between 1827 and 1828.
